Texas is the state with the highest number of invasive wild boars in the country, accounting for about 35% of the total number of wild boars in the United States. Texas is also the state with the highest corn acreage. According to data from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), in 2022, corn acreage in Texas reached 11.008 million acres. However, every year in this state, about 1.6 million acres of corn are seriously attacked by wild boars, which is about 14% of the state's total corn area.
