Unreported World investigates the popularity of a psychedelic drug derived from toad venom, which is being sold in Mexico as a possible cure for mental illness and drug addiction.

But reporter Guillermo Galdos discovers concerns are mounting around the safety and sustainability of the unregulated drug, described by some as the ‘God Molecule’.

Illegal in many countries, Mexico has become a Bufo mecca, and in tourist hotspots like Tulum numerous sanctuaries offer the drug to tourists walking in off the street. And it's a lucrative business. They’re charged £130 to £3200 per ceremony.

Warning: This film contains scenes of Bufo being inhaled, its immediate effects and images of toad roadkill.
