A short evening hop from Las Vegas up to Salt Lake on a fairly new 737-900ER (about 4 months old at the time). I decided to combine both the takeoff and landing for this video; the cabin lights were on until just a couple minutes before landing, so there wasn't enough landing footage to make a separate video worth it. McCarran was pretty busy when we left, so we sat for about 20 minutes in line to take off. Fortunately, I was sitting on the side of the plane facing the runways, so I was able to catch a lot of departing and arriving traffic while we waited to depart. Most notably, we saw one of British Airways' new retrojets—the "Negus" 747-400, G-CIVB (landing 5:57, taxiing 7:50)—and a US Air Force C-5M Super Galaxy (taxiing 0:07, takeoff 10:50). After takeoff, we got a nice view of the Vegas Strip at sunset as we climbed out to the West, and then we gradually made a few turns to the Northwest, towards our destination. We landed in Salt Lake after the sun went down, which gave us a nice view of the city at night as we flew in.
