Growing up, Joni Mitchell was a household name, but it wasn't till my sophomore year of college when my friend Naomi and I would stay in on Friday nights listening to music that I heard her album, Blue.

Over the years, Court and Spark became my favorite Joni album to spin on the turntable, but I find myself coming back to A Case of You when I'm sitting around with my guitar.

At a recent concert for an intimate group at a private home, someone asked about my songwriting influences. I came back to L.A. the next weekend wanting to record this one.
