Sarah speaks about her story growing up in Nigeria being surrounded by foreign content and how that has not changed till now. She speaks on the importance of retaining value in the country to promote local content in sectors such as oil and gas, media and agriculture. Sarah Ajose-Adeogun (nee Esangbedo) is the Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor on Strategy, Policy, Projects, and Performance Management (SFPPMO). With over three decades of experience, including twenty years in the oil and gas industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her role. As the head of the Technocratic arm of the Governor's Office, she leads the Edo State Public Service Transformation Project, emphasizing people-centric initiatives. Previously, Sarah managed various transformation initiatives in the oil industry, focusing on social performance, information technology, and local content disciplines. She holds a BA in English & Literary Studies and two Post Graduate Degrees in Business Administration and Management from the University of Liverpool. Sarah is the first female Branch Chairperson of the PENGASSAN Shell Branch and is involved in various social and philanthropic endeavors.
