I neglected to mention the details of the treatment at the beginning of the episode:
Remove sparkplugs, add Berryman's B-12 to each cylinder, rotate engine 5 times every 6 hours for 24 hours (I added a splash of B-12 each time). After 24 hours, drive car at 60 mph for 20 minutes. Change oil and filter. Test oil use.
