In this longer-format video we explain what's NEW in the data model in Tableau 2020.2 (and higher). Tableau introduced some BIG changes in how you join and union data in Tableau 2020.2 and higher. We talk through the concept of relationships, why you use them, how you can union both in the new relationship interface, and how you can get back to the old interface to get to the original join and union dialog boxes.

Then, we talk through some changes to how calculations work, particularly if you're using constants or fields that involve several tables across several relationships, and some things you want to take into consideration when you start to create calculations. Look out for some workarounds in a future video.
