   • ROD KNOCK? Blowing Up Volkswagen 2.0L...  
This is a Volkswagen CBFA 2.0L EA888 Turbocharged engine from a 2013 CC with 162K miles. This was from a vehicle we purchased at a tow lot in that ended up having severe rod knock, the engine was already toast. I decided to finish it off in the first video and tear it down in this video.

Why did I do this? My name is Eric, and I own and run a full service auto recycling business called Importapart. We often buy complete vehicles to part out, as well as core/blown engines to dismantle and salvage the good parts. This VW Came in with the hopes of being able to sell the engine but usually when cars are abandoned, there's a good reason.
