Who is Dr.Dre? American rapper and record producer Andre Romelle Young is better known by his stage name, Dr. Dre. After cofounding, co-owning, and serving as president of Death Row Records, he is now the founder and chief executive officer of Aftermath Entertainment and Beats Electronics.

How did Dr. Dre start his career? The World Class Wreckin' Cru was where Dr. Dre got his start in the rap game. The Chronic (1992), Dr. Dre's first studio album, was released on Death Row Records and quickly became one of the year's best-selling albums in the United States. It garnered him several awards for the hit "Nuthin' but a 'G' Thang" and a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance for the song "Let Me Ride."
What artists did Dr. Dre Signed? Dr. Dre spent the most of the 2000s as a producer and occasional vocal contributor. Both Eminem (in 1998) and 50 Cent (in 2002) were signed to his label, and he co-produced albums for both of them. The D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Knoc-turn'al, the Game, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson Paak, have all been artists he has produced records for and managed throughout their careers.
