As practicing guitar players we are always on the look-out for new ideas that will help us play better! Even if it’s just something basic we can do to end up seeing even a small improvement.
If it can help us play better, then we are ready to try it out. Whether it’s just practicing, or recording or performing live on-stage, if there is some way that our playing can (hopefully) get a small but noticeable improvement - then we are ready to go all in on it.
In this lesson, I will introduce a way for any guitar player (regardless of their skill level), to find some instant improvement over how well they play. And yes, this applies to anything you’ll play; a phrase, songs, licks or exercises.
I’m sure that you are wondering what type of idea this is and how it could be applied to almost anything you play. Rest assured that it is easy to do, so easy in fact that you may be surprised at how simple and easy it truly is.
What we’re going to be talking about in this lesson is something that I feel can make a noticeable difference to every musicians performance.
The idea is to simply breathe in for 5 seconds before playing to help make you more likely to succeed. The process works to prime the brain for activity and it is scientifically proven to help people in general do any task with more success.
