In 1990, the NES was right in the middle of its production life cycle, the Sega Genesis was available, and the Super NES was merely a year away from its release. The '90s were full of video game franchises that had been established in the 1980s (e.g., Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda), as well as brand new series like Mortal Kombat.

This video is all about those magical systems, the experiences Chris best remembers surrounding them, and the console successors that followed, like the Sony PlayStation and Nintendo 64.
