IMPORTANT NOTICE

To everyone who signed up for the Pokemon Tournament, I am sad to announce that I am going to have to CANCEL it.

The main reason being that there is no way to spectate matches (unless I am in every single match, which is impossible). You can only spectate matches in local play, not online play. I didn’t do enough research and I thought you could spectate matches in online play.

The only solution that the tourney could occur is for me to host multi-battles and appear as a Magikarp and use splash while the other two battle, but honestly that is too distracting and both trainers will only have 3 Pokemon instead of 6. So I’m not going to do it that way.

I looked at other streams of people who hosted Sword & Shield Friendly Competitions, and they were only able to show the battles they themselves were in; if they were not in a battle they weren’t able to spectate either. Also, I am not going to use Pokemon Showdown! because there are people who signed up and do not have a computer (which is required).

I know this is unfortunate news, trust me I am just as sad as you guys might be. But I am still willing to hold a tournament for a different game (Maybe Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart 8) and hopefully it can still take place in this month of June.
