The program "The Alchemy of Music" brought together Jewish singer/songwriter Basya Schechter with Farid Ayaz & The Abu Mohammed Qawwals. The program was sponsored by The Cordoba Initiative, under the direction of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and was hosted by The Brotherhood Synagogue. The evening began with an interview, followed by Basya Schechter's performance and concluded with the Qawwals, who were briefly joined by Ms. Schechter.
