Cliff Young was an Australian potato farmer who, at age 61, won the 1983 Sydney to Melbourne Ultramarathon, completing the 875 kilometer race in a time of 5 days, 15 hours and 4 minutes, two days faster than the previous record and 10 hours faster than the second-place finisher.
