Hog Waller parking last weekend was a nightmare to put it nicely. Pulling into overflow parking was a one way road and that road was also the only way back out. So once you pulled in, you were committed. What we didn’t know was that the parking was going to be located in a swap. All we could do was sit and watch truck after truck get buried and framed in the mud. When it was our turn, the parking supervisor’s only advice was “throw it in 4wd, hit the gas and don’t let up.” Just parking, was awful and lead us to worrying about how we would get out at the end of the day. So we rode for about 6 hours and when it was time to leave - the swap/parking lot was even more of a disaster than in the morning. Most large trucks were having to be pulled out by tractors, while others were hooking up to multiple sxs’s and being drug out! I decided to do it myself. So we kept the buggy’s offloaded, but couldn’t detach the trailer as there would be no way to pull it to the road (tractor guys said they weren’t able to pull trailers.) My wife hopped on her sxs and recorded my attempt of getting out of there (thats her you hear cheering me on lol) The truck was muddy and only damage was some underglow and rock lights coming off, so easy fix. Needless to say though, we will never park in overflow again.
