Mini has officially unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Aceman, which serves as a new addition to its lineup, positioned between the iconic Cooper and the larger Countryman. This reveal comes after much anticipation fueled by rumors and teasers, bringing a fresh, innovative design to the electric vehicle market.

The Aceman introduces itself as a compact crossover that marries traditional Mini aesthetics with cutting-edge features. It's offered in two main variants: the E and the SE. The E model comes equipped with a 184-horsepower electric motor, generating 213 pound-feet of torque, enabling it to accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour in 7.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 99 mph. It houses a 42.5-kilowatt-hour battery, promising up to 193 miles of range based on the European testing cycle.

For those seeking more power, the SE variant amps up the performance with a 218-horsepower motor and 243 pound-feet of torque. It features a larger 54.2 kWh battery, enhancing the range to approximately 252 miles, and supports fast charging that can replenish 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes.

Design-wise, the Aceman stays true to Mini’s roots with its distinctive octagonal grille. It also boasts unique styling elements such as LED daytime running lights and Matrix rear taillights that offer three modes and graphics, flat door handles, and a sleek rear profile enhanced by beveled glass and matte-black sills. These elements not only enhance the vehicle’s aesthetics but contribute to its aerodynamic efficiency.

Inside, the cabin is dominated by a 9.5-inch OLED screen running Mini OS 9, which supports voice commands for all driving functions. Despite the advanced tech, traditional controls remain accessible for essential functions like the gear selector and climate control.

While Mini has not yet confirmed whether the Aceman will be available in the U.S., it is slated for production later this year. The vehicle will be available in four trims: Essential, Classic, Favored, and the sporty JCW, each offering varying levels of customization and luxury.
