A global study found young men are trying to navigate mixed messages on masculinity. They intrinsically understand the virtues of being a "good man" yet feel pressured by cultural hostility towards masculinity. Nancy Pearcy says, "When I told my class at Houston Christian University that I was writing a book on masculinity, one of my male students shot back, "What Masculinity?"

Note: Here is a telling little fact, you type in the hashtags man and men and you get nothing, nada, they don't exist. Type in hashtags woman and women no problem they are represented in the hashtag community.
