My ZD30 Engine Reaches 400,000 KS. What You Need to Know why it's still going strong.
ZD30 engines have received bad reviews for well over 20 years due to being unreliable and engines blowing up after they reached 100,000 ks on the clock.
Certainly some of the earlier model ZD30 engines were having a lot of problems.
Over the years as the ZD30 engine progressed through the range of GU Nissan Patrols, some of those issue from years gone by were disappearing.
The ZD30 in my GU Patrol has been really well maintained, which i believe is the key for not only my engine, but for all engines going forward.
Regular oil and filter changes, especially in a diesel powered motor are very important.
I would be keen to hear from others that have an older model GU Patrol with a ZD30 under the bonnet.
How high are the Ks on the clock?
Have you had many issues with your ZD30?
