My E3D v6 hot end was clogged and it turned out that this was due to my retraction distance which was way too high. It was 5mm and a maximum of 2mm is recommended by E3D. But, I still had to unclog this hot end and I used to do this with a 1.5mm drill. This did not destroy my previous hot end, but I did not feel right.

I found a piece of electrical wire with a solid core and this turned out to work perfect! So, if you have a piece lying around somewhere than I definitely recommend making one yourself just in case this comes in handy.

I am planning to make more of these short 'in between' videos with quick tips and suggestions. Please let me know if you like this idea or not!

Please consider buying me a coffee if you liked it or helped you :) http://ko-fi.com/properprinting/ I place photos of the projects I am working on here too at random to get you excited with what has to come!
