Oh Nickelodeon. The embodiment of crass corporate immoraloty. And nothing highlights that more than The Spongebob Movie: Sponge On The Run. Fresh off the news of Stephen Hillenburg's passing, the Nick execs decided it was time to tarnish the sole brand keeping them afloat by producing this! Not only repeating the same gimmicks with little new originality, but also masking it poorly as one big advertisement for the Spongebob prequel spin-off Camp Coral...something Hillenburg was specifically against for his franchise.
