The Satellite Applications Catapult is working on number of applications and research projects within the agri-tech industry, and exploring exploring new, innovative satellite capabilities for the industry.

Satellites are enabling users across the ‘farm-to-fork’ supply chain to observe, measure and monitor crop performance right across the growing season. This information is enabling users to respond more quickly to provide nutrients where needed and to counter the impacts of adverse weather, pests and disease, essential to ensure yields are maximised.

We have been working with users from across the ‘farm-to-fork’ supply chain to ensure satellite technologies and enabled systems such as drones serve the agricultural sector by delivering proactive agricultural insights and decision support.
