On 25th December, 2019, a 52-year-old British man named Marc Bennette was found hanging in his hotel room in Doha, Qatar.
It was the day of Christmas, and his death sent shock waves in the local area. Bennett was recruited in Qatar to boost the tourism industry - he had a life ahead of him back home.

It was initially claimed that he'd hung himself due to some family conflict. But more evidence poured in, and it turned out there was a far more sinister reason behind his death.

Bennette had been brutally tortured, stripped, and deprived of sleep for 2 weeks by Qatari authorities - all over dubious charges that never got proven. He had been placed in a "legal limbo", and his way out of Qatar had been cut off.

Marc's wife is still seeking justice for his untimely death. She firmly believes he did not take his own life. But why hasn't anyone taken accountability for what happened? Why was Bennette detained by Qatar's authorities without any criminal charges? Well, that’s just how things roll in Qatar, the fourth-richest country in the world.
