This great old Maui praise song is one of our favorite jam numbers. Led says one of his uncles made this his signature tune and Led learned the basic arrangement from him.

The composer, Alice Johnson, was a member of the Royal Hawaiian Band and was inducted into the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame in 2008.

Led is a big fan of my Kathy Wingert guitar so he asked to do a few tunes with the Model EC as a tribute to the talented builder. I honestly don't mind spending time with my Martin OM and it was great fun to hear the tone Led pulled from the rosewood and spruce of the Wingert.

Both guitars are tuned to taropatch open G: D G D G B D from low pitch to high.

I set up two Panasonic Lumix GH4 cameras for this shoot, but decided to only use one for the final clip. One of the gang at http://taropatch.net mentioned wanting to watch the hands on the guitar without a lot of fancy editing getting in the way, so I left out all the cuts and zooms and pans and just let the music flow.

To make sure the audio was respectable I hooked up a pair of Schoeps CMC641 mics to the Zoom H6. I edited the clip in Edius.
