We’ll dress up spring container gardens by creating two colorful beaded garden stakes. Add these stakes to your container gardens, fairy gardens, or use them in your house plants.

Items Needed:
18” piece or longer of 16 or 20-gauge wire
Glass beads - various shapes and sizes
Round nose jewelry pliers
Wire cutter
Round pen or pencil

• If you are using these in an outdoor container, use a 16-gauge wire, it is thicker and will stand up better to being outdoors. For indoor house plants a 20-gauge wire is fine.
• Choose about 8-10 decorative beads, depending on the size of your beads. A total bead length of 4-1/2” – 5” (including spacer beads) is sufficient for a bead stake. Too many beads will make the stake top heavy.
• When choosing beads, have a piece of the wire handy to make sure the wire will fit through the hole in the bead.
