Welcome to Old Lakewood City in Long Beach, CA! This SoCal neighborhood is where I grew up, so let me take you on a tour of all I love about living in this Southern California neighborhood. My favorite part of this neighborhood is Heartwell Park that's over 160 acres and includes soccer fields, baseball fields, hockey and basketball courts, a playground, a community center, a 2.5-mile bike trail, and a fishing pond. Within this East Long Beach neighborhood, you'll also find the Ruth Bach Library.

The homes in this Los Angeles County neighborhood were first built as a planned model community back in the 1940s. You'll find the original 2 bedroom 1 bath houses and greatly expanded 2-story homes each sitting on over 5,000 square feet of land. Many residents make this Long Beach neighborhood their forever home and even move back to raise their kids here as well.

Children living in Old Lakewood City will be assigned to Burcham Elementary, Marshal Academy of the Arts Middle School, and Lakewood High School. Within the borders of this neighborhood, you'll also find part of Long Beach City College.

If you live in Old Lakewood City you'll be right next to plenty of shopping and places to eat along Carson and Bellflower Blvd, such as the Village Shops and the Long Beach Exchange (LBX).
