In this video I show you how to refund games on Steam. You can refund Steam games by going to your account details. Here you will see an option to View purchase history. Once you’re on your purchase history you can see all of the games and DLC packs that you have purchased.

You will need to select the game that you want to refund from the purchase history, then select the “I want a refund” option. Following this you will need to select the “I’d like to request a refund” option.

To refund your Steam game you will need to give a reason and explain why you want a refund. There are several options, it’s best the select the option that describes your issue. If you simply don’t like the game then you can select the “It’s not fun” option.

In order to be able to refund games on Steam you will need to have purchased the game within the last 14 days, and have less than 2 hours of gametime. If you have played the game for longer than 2 hours then it’s unlikely that you will be refunded. Additionally, this means if you bought a game outside of the 14 days window and haven’t played it then you won’t be eligible for a refund.

When applying to refund your Steam game you will have a notes box. Here you can explain why you would like a refund. Typically you won’t need to give a lengthy explanation, just a sentence or two should work fine.

After filling out the Steam refund form you will need to click the Submit Request button. The refund request is usually accepted or rejected within a few hours. After which the funds won’t be added to your wallet or bank account for a few days. It may take 7 or potentially more days for you to receive your refund.
