Poetry at The Dalí is an ongoing series hosted by St. Petersburg Poet Laureate, Helen Pruitt Wallace. Occurring on the second Thursday of each month, each evening will feature Wallace joined by selected poets.

About the Poets:
Daniel Lawless’s book, The Gun My Sister Killed Herself With, was published in 2018. Recent/forthcoming poems in FIELD, Barrow Street, Prairie Schooner, Ploughshares, Poetry International, Los Angeles Review, upsteet, and Massachusetts Review, among other journals and reviews. A recipient of a continuing Shifting Foundation grant, he is the founder and editor of Plume: A Journal of Contemporary Poetry, Plume Editions, and the annual Plume Poetry anthologies.

Philip Fried has published eight books of poetry, most recently Among the Gliesians (Salmon Poetry, Ireland, 2020). His poems have appeared in numerous journals and over 20 anthologies. Recently, Carol Rumens selected his poem “Yoga for Leaders and Others” for her anthology Smart Devices: Poems from the Guardian’s ‘Poem of the Week.’ In addition to writing poetry, Fried is the founding editor of The Manhattan Review (1980 – ), an international poetry journal.

Sandra Alcosser’s A FISH TO FEED ALL HUNGER and EXCEPT BY NATURE, received highest honors from the National Poetry Series, Academy of American Poets, and AWP Award Series. She’s received three National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, served as Montana’s first poet laureate, directs SDSU’s MFA each fall, and is the Editor of Poetry International. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Paris Review, Poetry and the Pushcart Prize Anthology.
