Billionaire real estate investors are investing in REITs, also known as real estate investment trusts. REIT stocks are attractive investment opportunities in 2024 for them because they are priced at historically low valuations. They allow billionaires like Steve Schwartzman from Blackstone (BX) to buy rental property investments at a discount. Blackstone just recently acquired Tricon Residential and they expect to be a lot more active in 2024. As a result, we expect many more REIT buyouts.
