I recently flew a 12 hour flight with Scoot, the low cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines. This flight from Berlin to Singapore only cost be 350 euros, but there were some compromises.

There is absolutely no food and drink available for free on this flight, not even water. There is no in-flight entertainment available. It is like a short-haul low cost experience transferred into a 12 hour flight.

This has led this flight (and the similar flight to Athens) to be regarded as one of the worst long haul flights in the world. So is it? I flew it to find out.
