The Gold Country Wildlife Rescue group is awaiting the completion of a permanent facility in Auburn that will serve as a haven for animals in need of rehabilitation. Sallysue Stein, who founded the rescue group in 1991, said they take in about 4,oo0 animals a year, including sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
