The Catalan is probably the richest opeing I've played so far. It seems that it requires a detailed understanding of several pawn structures and strategic patterns, as well as knowing piece placement in fianchetto structures. So far, it's beyond my skill:D I will be trying to play it over and over again until I manage to navigate most Catalan positions comfortably.
