Brewing Will Return In 2024! (but this video is from 2017)
As the title says - we'll be adding beer brewing / homebrewing back to the channel in 2024. We'll be aiming for 1 brewing video every 4-6 weeks on our main channel, with an expanded edit over on the brewing channel.

Targets:
ABV: 4.8%, OG: 1.050, FG: 1.014, IBU: 24.6 PBG: 1.044

Ingredients:
1 Campden tablet
6 mL Lactic acid 88%

2.6 Kg Vienna Malt 58.7%
1.53 Kg Pils 27.9
0.3 Kg Double Roasted Crystal 6.7%
0.3 Kg Munich 6.7%

18.7g Perle AA 7.8% 60 Min (18.7 IBU)
12.5g Hallertauer AA 2.7% 60 Min (4.3 IBU)
1 tsp Irish Moss 15 Min
1 tsp Yeast Nutrient 15 Min
10.4g Saaz AA 2.4% flameout / steep 10 Min (.6 IBU)
10.5g Tettnang AA 3.9% flameout / steep 10 Min (.9 IBU)

Strike water17.5L @ 154ºF
Mash 1 hour @151ºF
Pump re-circ whole mash
Mashout 168ºF 10 minutes
Fly sparge 4.3L

*Realised that we had BeerSmith setup incorrectly on the new brewhouse laptop*
***Added 5L extra water after sparge to meet pre boil gravity and volume.

Pre boil gravity: 1.043
Pre boil volume: 22.5L

60 minute boil
OG: 1.050

Chilled to 50ºF before pitching yeast
Yeast starter of 2L WLP 920 ‘Old Bavarian’

Brewed Feb 06 2017
Diacetyl rest @65.5ºF from Feb 11 - 14
Cold crashed Feb 15-16
FG: 1.007
ABV: 5.4%
Kegged in bright keg Feb 16, fined with Gelatine and moved to lagger fridge set to 2ºC for 6 weeks before tasting
