Bob Dylan is a legendary singer-songwriter, poet, and musician who has been one of the most influential figures in popular music for over 60 years. He was born Robert Allen Zimmerman on May 24, 1941, in Duluth, Minnesota. He began playing music at a young age, and by the time he was in college, he was performing in folk clubs in Minneapolis. In 1961, he moved to New York City, where he quickly became a leading figure in the folk music revival.
