There have been reports that the front wheels on the new Grand Cherokee L don't steer automatically when flat towing it behind a motorhome.

Indeed, when looking at the tires from my motorhome side mirrors, they don't seem to move much. The 2021 and newer Grand Cherokee L have electric steering, so I wanted to know if there was some sort of issue.

To verify, I tied a brightly colored band to the steering wheel that I can usually see in my motorhome's rear view camera. In addition, I temporarily installed a camera in the Jeep cab. This video is from that camera and clearly shows the Jeep steering as needed to follow the motorhome.

Note: I did have an issue with the front wheels skidding one time when my tow bar arms did not lock in the extended position when initially departing a site and then immediately making a sharp turn.
