Rated the #1 hike in the Superstition wilderness, the Hieroglyphic Trail is a 2.8 mile hike that offers spectacular views.

This hike was done on Saturday, March 2, 2019. The weekend before, Arizona had some crazy weather and even snow on the Superstition Mountains! Because of this, there were gorgeous wild flowers, grass and even the desert plants looked a little more green! I have done this hike several times and have never seen the water flowing at the end of the trail like this. Usually there is just little stagnant pools of water.

As a reminder, do not park on the street where it says "no parking". Seems like common sense but cars were lined on the street when we started the hike and by the time we got back down, the drivers were standing stranded where their cars were on the road because their car was towed. Wait for a parking spot to clear. It is a large parking lot.

The drive to this hike including the parking lot is all paved.

Hope this video gives you an idea of what to expect on your hike at the Hieroglyphic Trail. Be kind to the environment. Don't leave ANYTHING behind. Happy Hiking!
