Hatcher Pass. It's known for many things, though its reputation for massive, juicy blueberries just might triumph over all else. There's no place in Alaska quite like Hatcher Pass, and we knew if we wanted to overcome our failures from our last time blueberry hunting, we would need to take a trip out to the towering mountains and the lowest valleys of Hatcher Pass. Our trip could be described by many words, but "disappointment" is sure not one of them. After coming home with a gallon of hand-picked, ripe, plump blueberries, we got them washed up and frozen. We already found a way to use half of them by baking delicious blueberry muffins, and a blueberry crisp that will make your mouth water. We hope this video gives a tiny glimpse of the stunning scenery that Hatcher Pass has to offer!
