I Converted a Cargo Van into an Off Grid Tiny Home | Full Build Start to Finish (Pt. 2)

I am building a Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van that I purchased for $3,800 from a delivery man.

Outdoor Kitchen:
This outdoor kitchen has a flush mounted sink with a hidden faucet and seamless running water. The water tank for the sink also supplies pressurized water for the rear door hose for outdoor showers. The kitchen is equipped with 110V electricity supplied by the solar power bank allowing the use of an induction cooktop. All drawers and doors are locked with automatic slam latches. The kitchen is topped off with an olivewood and epoxy countertop.

Converting couch/Bed:
This van has a full sized bed that easily converts into a seating area large enough for two people. The bed converts using industrial drawer slides with a weight capacity of 500lbs. The bench houses the outdoor kitchen on one side and the battery bank on the other side. There is also a large storage cabinet underneath the bench.

Pallet cabinet wall:
The cabinet wall along the side of the van is constructed from plywood and reclaimed pallet wood. This cabinet houses the security camera screen, several programable switches including the lights and 12v power. The pallet wall holds a 32 inch lightweight tv with cabinet space for entertainment systems. There is a small low wattage microwave and 12v chest refrigerator at the base of the cabinet.

Because there are no windows, I needed another way to still be able to see outside of the van while its parked and I wanted increased visibility while driving, so I installed security cameras in discrete locations around the van. These cameras provide a 360 degree visual around the outside of the van and can also be used while driving as blind spot cameras.
