Honda has unveiled its latest innovations in sustainable vehicle design at Milan Design Week, presenting the European premiere of the SUSTAINA-C Concept car and the Pocket Concept motorcycle. These pioneering models highlight Honda’s commitment to reducing CO2 emissions and advancing towards carbon neutrality by 2050. The vehicles, produced at Honda Italia Industriale’s factory in Atessa, Italy, feature exterior panels made from recycled acrylic resin sourced from second-hand taillights. This novel material not only avoids the need for paint but also significantly lowers emission levels by up to 45 percent during production.

The SUSTAINA-C Concept is distinguished by its black and white marble effect panels, created by blending colors at different melting points, adding both aesthetic appeal and environmental benefits. Its design includes a unique tailgate that functions like a smartphone screen, enhancing communication with other road users through text or imagery. Alongside, the Pocket Concept motorcycle offers compact, last-mile mobility and can be stored within the SUSTAINA-C's luggage compartment, exemplifying Honda’s innovative approach to sustainable transportation solutions.
