Once again, we bring to you exciting news from Burkina Faso as the leader of the country Captain Ibrahim Traoré laid the first stone for a new textile complex IRO-TEXBURKINA on March 29th, 2024. The complex spans an impressive 42 hectares in the Center-West region of Sourgou, with another 50 hectares in the Boucle du Mouhoun in Boromo. With a total cost of 165 billion CFA Francs, the project is expected to create over 4,000 direct jobs and 15,000 indirect jobs - a huge boost for the local economy. President Traoré's vision for Burkina Faso is to promote socio-economic development through endogenous resources, as he expressed earlier this year in Koudougou. He emphasized the importance of industrialization, stating that the future of Burkina Faso lies in industrialization. By transforming products locally, the country can create more jobs and opportunities for their youth to flourish, he stated. The transitional government is wholeheartedly dedicated to providing support and necessary facilities to the citizens. They understand the significance of the people and their contribution towards the nation's growth and development. Therefore, the government is determined to assist the citizens in every possible way and ensure their well-being. The citizens can rely on the transitional government to cater to their needs and requirements, as they work towards building a better future for everyone. The President also made a call to potential investors, inviting them to invest in Burkina Faso and help drive their industrialization process. With a focus on transforming resources locally, Burkina Faso is poised for a bright future, and the IRO-TEXBURKINA complex is just the beginning. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this project will have on the region and beyond. Now, listen to what he had to say concerning this project.
