This piece was created and recorded between summer 2023 and spring 2024 and dedicated to the very talented trumpet player in the video, whom I (the composer) met during their work time at a Rotterdam day care for the early-stage demented elderly in 2011. Despite not officially co-workers anymore at the home, we always kept contact and on a regular basis we work together on small musical and video activity projects for the elderly. Our first official YouTube musical duet was an arrangement for piano and trumpet of the famous Titanic film theme. It's on my channel, too, check it out. This musical collaboration proved so fruitfull, that I offered to compose a brand new piece for us to play together. Daphne suggested it could perhaps be a multi-part concerto. When work began in the summer of 2023, autumn season was just about to start but as we both were very meticulous and precise about our task, the composing and recording process carried out a little longer, and now at the dawn of summer 2024 it is with great pride that we present to you all our concerto!

What you hear is our studio recording, with video footage of us playing our instruments at separate occasions interlaced with various beautiful autumn-related pictures.
