The 6 Series Gran Turismo attempts to combine the capabilities of a sedan, fastback, wagon, and SUV, and it mostly delivers, but its exterior looks a bit confused. Inside, the 640i xDrive AWD looks and feels gorgeous, using a 5 Series dashboard and offering 7 Series levels of comfort and support. Tan leather, wood trim, suede-covered headrest pillows on the rear seats, and a huge panoramic moonroof make the cabin memorable. And the 6 Series includes a couple of features that are optional for other BMWs as standard equipment, but still offers plenty of upgrades.

A single trim means a single powertrain: a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline 6-cylinder with 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque and an 8-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels. Our reviewer strongly recommends the Dynamic Handling package, which adds an adaptive air suspension, rear-wheel steering, and Active Roll Stabilization.
