Account Executives (AE) are responsible for closing new business. Account Managers (AM) are responsible for renewing clients. Both roles carry quota but still the debate over “real sales” wages on. However, nothing unites AEs and AMs like their mutual hatred for Sales Operations. Why? Well Sales Ops slows down deal velocity. They are often an unnecessary additional step in the sales process.
