The Sonos Roam over the past 6 months has impressed us a lot. It's pretty much the ultimate portable shower and travel speaker because its not simply just a Bluetooth speaker. It has Wi-Fi too. And built-in smart Assistants like Alexa and Sonos's own Sonos Voice Control. When you all all of those capabilities together plus it's excellent sound, it adds up to a very impressive speaker that's easy to recommend to almost anyone.

We'll give you an overview of the speaker design, how to switch between Bluetooth and WiFi modes, how Sound swap works, how to charge the speaker, it's rated battery life and our real world battery life experience. We'll also walk through some downsides of the speaker like Google Cast Support, and some issues we've had with Sonos Voice Control.
