I have a spinal cord injury, sci, a minor C5 incomplete and T7 and today while in PT rehab I was fitted into the exoskeleton suit for the first time. This is at the Houston Methodist Hospital Neuro PT Rehabilitation Pavilion down in the Texas Medical Center.

The exoskeleton is not designed to be a permanent walking aide, but rather for therapy, health and gait training. It is unlikely that I will walk ever again, but this device provides significant benefits for the GI system, lungs, bone density and strength, and circulatory system. I hope to soon be able to be in it without a therapist holding it.

By using it everyday, I was able to get some minor hip flexor movement, and while not enough to be useful yet, it's a start!!

But more importantly, it gave me the mental strength to keep trying and I have continued with PT and continue to make small improvements.
