In West Jerusalem, protesters gathered to demand Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government do more to secure the release of the remaining captives in Gaza. Riot police were then deployed as they marched towards government buildings. The protests erupted following the release of a video by Hamas of 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was taken from the music festival in Israel on October 7th.
