It starts with the second web browser ever created, Line Mode, and includes the most popular browsers from those first few years. Note that no browser ever really drops to zero since there's always a hobbyist trying to use it. Data for the first half of the video is sourced from Wikipedia and many articles from that time while the data for the second half of the video comes from StatCounter.
