FACT/S - We know that Disney is currently in the process of creating a live-action version of the film Moana, with Dwayne Johnson returning to his role as Maui. However, a new actress will be chosen to bring the live-action version of Moana to life. The original voice actress, Auli'i Cravalho, shared a video on her Instagram revealing why she chose not to reprise the role, and her explanation seems reasonable. She emphasized the importance of having cast members who accurately represent the characters at the heart of the story, and she is excited to pass the torch to someone else. Moana played a significant role in launching her acting career, and she wishes the same for the next Moana. However, she will still be involved in the movie as an executive producer, so our beloved Disney princess will still be present in the project, but BTS!
