The DCU certainly doesn’t lack for iconic villains. Many of their heroes' story lines wouldn't be nearly as captivating without their arch-nemesis’ running around ruining their lives. They push our heroes to their breaking points, bringing the overwhelming adversity they need to overcome. Well if the saying ``a hero is only as good as it’s villains” is true then Wonder Woman, being one of the principal heroes in the JLA, must have some of the worst foes around. And seeing as no one hands out beatdowns like the Princess of Themyscira, any one crazy enough to go toe to toe with her would have to be a pretty heavy hitter in their own right. From powerful Grecian gods, to half human half feline hybrids, to super tall ladies, to mind controlling misogynists Wonder Woman has bested them all. In fact she has faced down a literal murders row of powerful evil-doers over her impressive 80 year comic span. Luckily she normally comes out on top, but quite a few villains have proven to be a serious challenge for her. A couple of them are responsible for delivering Diana Prince’s most stunning defeats. A few she almost didn’t come back from. With Wonder Woman 1984 bring at least two new members, of Wonder Woman’s rogues gallery to the silver screen in, Cheetah, played by Kriten Wiig, and Maxwell Lord, played by the Mandilorian himself Pedro Pascal, we set out to rank her greatest foes of all time in Wonder Woman’s Best Villains Ranked!
