Episode 6 of CAVE CHRONICLES takes you behind the scenes and along for the ride during Round 6: Throwdown of the 2023 Formula Drift Championship!

Throughout the weekend, we battled belt issue after belt issue. It seemed like no matter what we fixed, a belt would shred within 1 lap. Unfortunately, we didn't get as much practice as we would've liked leading up to qualifying. As luck would have it, the car held together on the lap that mattered most, allowing me to secure 1st place in qualifying!

This gave me a bye into the Top 16, which gave us some extra time to work on the car and continue to chase those belt issues. My first battle was against Rome Charpentier, so I knew I had to turn it up! My lead run felt solid and although there were areas to clean up, I felt good about it. My chase run felt so dialed but I ended up getting lost in the smoke, which allowed the rear to hit the wall hard enough to put me into a spin, rather than just absorb it. As we all know, this is game of inches and pushing things to the absolute limit.

Big thanks to my entire team for giving it their all throughout the entire weekend! Time to focus on Salt Lake City!
