We use an industrial laser photoelectric retroreflective sensor and an arduino microcontroller (ESP8266) to trigger a laser beam home security system and play a sound over a google home nest speaker. This video shows you how to use industrial 12v & 24v sensors with your 3.3v microcontroller. We use an optocoupler to level step the 12v down to 3.3v to trigger our arduino setup.
Technology featured in this video: Arduino IDE, IoT microprocessor, Optocoupler, Breadboard, Node-red, MQTT, WiFi
